Erick Szot is American film & TV actor from Miami, Fl. He is most notable for creating, producing, directing and starring in “Gym Shorts” comedy series on Amazon, and for his award winning role “Kevin” the Gym Newbie.
This is a comedy series about the quirks and qualities of gym life. Taking place at the local gym U Ran Us Fitness, discover a world of colorful, relatable characters who bond together through their desires, unchecked expectations and the deeper meaning of life and lack of reality you can only find in the gym. Kevin (Erick Szot) a recent divorcee, going through a mid life crisis, seeks a change in his mundane life and meets Chad, the well meaning yet clueless trainer of URanUs Fitness. Kevin is forced into a gym world he doesn't yet understand and a whole host of characters that he doesn't quite fit in with.
"Gym Shorts" an episodic series and is now on Amazon Video Direct as well as other streaming platforms. The pilot episodes have received multiple awards: Best Comedy, Best Ensemble as well as a Best Actor award for Erick Szot in the role of Kevin. The series has also won nominations for its music and original theme song.

In 2018 Erick Szot founded Captain Entertainment, along with his life long friends, to help promote and highlight the talented Florida film market. Our mission statement is to produce FUN, FLORIDA, FILMS and incorporate LGBTQ representation, diversity and equality in our productions.
